- The number of criminal incidents recorded by Victoria Police in the year to 30 June 2019 was 387,389, up 1.3% from 382,445 incidents recorded in the same period last year.
- The number of offences recorded by Victoria Police in the year to 30 June 2019 was 514,398. This is up 1.5% from 506,758 offences recorded in the same period last year.
- Alleged offender incidents increased 4.6% to 176,837 in the year to June 2019, up from 169,056.
- Unique alleged offenders increased by 6.3% (5,048) to 84,989 in the year ending June 2019.
- Victim reports increased in the year to 30 June 2019 by 0.6% (1,663) to 301,099 victim reports.
- In the year ending 2019 unique victims decreased by 0.8% to 226,167 from 227,993 in the previous year.
- Family incidents increased in the year to 30 June 2019, up 8.6% from 76,113 to 82,652.

- Melbourne (14,488.3 incidents per 100,000 estimated resident population, down 10.7%)
- Latrobe (13,034.5 incidents per 100,000 estimated resident population, up 1.6%)
- Yarra (10,919.1 incidents per 100,000 estimated resident population, down 1.4%)
- Mildura (9,627.3 incidents per 100,000 estimated resident population, up 4.8%)
- Greater Shepparton (9,331.4 incidents per 100,000 estimated resident population, up 2.1%)

The five Local Government Areas with the highest criminal incident rates in the year ending June 2019 were:
- Melbourne (18,944.5 offences per 100,000 estimated resident population, down 14.2%)
- Latrobe (18,915.8 offences per 100,000 estimated resident population, up 2.4%)
- Horsham (13,723.5 offences per 100,000 estimated resident population, up 9.9%)
- Greater Shepparton (13,257.2 offences per 100,000 estimated resident population, up 4.7%)
- Yarra (13,090.2 offences per 100,000 estimated resident population, down 6.5%)
